Department for Infrastructure and Transport Prequalification
Prequalification system for the Government of South Australia
The SA Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) have pre-qualification schemes that can be used to access tenders and gain government contracts for building, trade/subcontractors, and professional services.
It is often mandatory for contractors to have a JASANZ Accredited ISO Management Systems Standard, most commonly ISO 9001 Quality, and may also require ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety and ISO 14001 Environmental Management. Please click this link for more information.
Some small businesses can compete in DIT tenders without having to commit to the full JASANZ Accredited certification (based on specific activities and categories of work), by instead complying with the DIT Quality Assurance criteria within their business systems for general building contractors, trade/subcontractors, and professional services businesses.
Please feel free to contact our team to learn about obtaining a DIT Certificate of Registration.

About Compass Assurance Services
Compass Assurance Services (CAS) was established in 2013 to address a gap in the certification marketplace. This gap was the need for a certification body that prioritised customer satisfaction above all else. Over the past eleven years, CAS has evolved into one of the largest certification bodies in the country. We are proud to hold the distinction of being the largest ISO 27001 certifier, upholding the core values upon which the company was founded.
At CAS, we carefully select our staff based on their technical expertise within their industry and their commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. We understand that customer satisfaction is integral to our mission.
CAS ensures accessibility no matter how remote your location, with offices strategically positioned in most major cities across Australia and auditors stationed nationwide. We have the capability to efficiently and effectively audit your business, regardless of your geographical location.
In 2023, Kiwa, a leading Dutch Inspection and Certification Company, acquired CAS. Despite this change in ownership, the core values upon which CAS was built have been upheld. This merger has granted CAS access to international resources and has propelled our growth.
