As the COVID-19 situation continues to rapidly evolve, it is an appropriate time to update you on Compass’ approach to the situation and what it means in terms of your scheduled audits

We have enacted our Extraordinary Events Protocol which allows for Certification Audits to be managed differently in the event of an extraordinary event such as a pandemic.

We continue to monitor developments and will update you as appropriate. We are proactively implementing initiatives to ensure the health and safety of our people, our clients and the wider community as well as focusing on continuity of service to you our clients.

Our people will continue to be available to meet your needs, email us, ring us we are here working.

Travel

Unfortunately, we are still not flying into developing countries to complete in person audits. We will continue to review this policy in accordance with guidance from relevant authorities. This means that your audit may be done partially remotely or completely remotely. It means that we may start your audit on time but complete it later than anticipated

Remote Auditing

During this time we can conduct all of the audit or parts of the audit remotely based on circumstances. Talk to your auditor and let them know how you want the audit to proceed. We are still not completing in person audits for home offices, all of these will be conducted through digital sessions.

Account Payments

If COVID-19 is affecting your cash flow in such a way that it limits your ability to make payments on time, please talk with us about instalments or other arrangements

Events

To limit risk to our people and clients we have postponed planned events until further notice.  For some events such as our Comply Ahoy Launch and Training sessions we are putting in place measures to deliver content via webinars which has been well received

Moving Forward

We encourage good hygiene practices across our offices, we have encouraged staff where possible to work from home and are also asking all clients and suppliers not to visit our office if they are unwell or required to self-isolate for any reason.

We appreciate your continued support and we will support you as best we can as well. We will notify you of any significant changes to our approach.

Please contact your auditor or Compass contact or me if you have any concerns or questions.
